Synova's Commitment to Sustainable Innovation

Environmental Stewardship

Synova's path to sustainability begins with a focus on environmental responsibility. We seek to minimize negative environmental impacts by implementing sustainable practices. This includes using renewable energy sources and materials, using energy-efficient equipment, reducing and recycling waste and promoting a culture of sustainability within the organization.

Clean energy sources

Energy consumption at our head office amounts to around 400,000 kW per year. We cover around half of our energy consumption with solar energy from the in-house photovoltaic system installed in 2022. The solar panels are located on the roofs of the main building and the new production hall. We use local hydropower as a second source of energy.

EV charging stations

At the end of 2022, we installed electric vehicle charging stations on our premises in Duillier, ensuring our employees can power up their electric vehicles conveniently.

Renewable resources

Our new production hall and our extended main building are not just functional structures; they embody our commitment to sustainability. We have used renewable materials such as wood in their construction and have gone one step further by planting more than a dozen trees on the site to preserve the environment for future generations. 

Sustainable waste management

By implementing efficient recycling programs, our company endeavors to reduce the amount of waste generated and promote the reuse of materials such as wooden crates and other packaging materials. Waste separation stations have been set up throughout the facility to enable the proper disposal of different types of waste.

Energy-efficient equipment

Our commitment to sustainability also extends to the efficient use of energy in our machines. We participate in projects aiming at measuring and improving the energy efficiency of our machines.

Social responsibility

Synova recognizes that true sustainability goes hand in hand with social responsibility. It's not just about reducing our carbon footprint; it's about making a positive impact on the lives of our employees and the communities we serve.

Community commitment

Synova actively contributes to local community development, education, and charitable causes. From disaster relief to humanitarian aid and cancer research, we're making a difference where it matters most.
